The New Quorndon Shakespeare Company generously donated £150 to The 101 Performing Arts Group.

Stella Keenan - treasurer of the Quorn based theatre company told  the group that her committee members had wanted to donate some of the profit from their last show to a local youth arts group. She presented the cheque to the group with student member James Harrison.

She added that auditions were coming up for their next production and any budding actors from the group were very welcome to attend!

Mat Carroll - director of the performing arts group explained that the kind donation would be used to start the groups next project - the young peoples Arts Award. The Arts Award is an Arts Council backed accreditation scheme for emerging young artists and arts leaders aged from 11 - 25 years.
